HDIF Trip With El Puente and Lelo Baby Designs

HDIF along with representatives from El Puente in Germany and Lelo Baby Designs in the US, traversed the scenic landscape of Armenia to visit its eight producer partner groups, both existing and potential ones.

The goal of the trip was to understand whether collaboration with El Puente and Lelo Baby Designs can be expanded in the coming year. Important questions were asked, such as what would expansion look like, does greater capacity exist for large orders, and how would expansion processes be implemented with the producer partners. 

During the trip, we had a chance to see the working processes of our producer partners and discussed some of the main challenges they face by living and working in the regions. We also enjoyed site visits of cities, towns and villages, including Talin, Gyumri, Martuni Village, Berd, Voskevan, Sari Gyugh, Koghb, and Berkaberd.

The trip was full of interesting and emotional moments. It was a great experience to witness first-hand how HDIF’s products are made and the talented artisans behind the products. The international clients were highly impressed by HDIF's work in the regions and the positive impact this social enterprise is having on women and persons with disabilities throughout the country.
