HDIF Receives $20,000 Grant From Impact Hub's Via Fund

HDIF is pleased to announce that it has received a $20,000 grant from the VIA Fund.  The Fund is the first impact investment fund for social enterprises in Armenia operated and managed by Impact Hub Yerevan.

In order to qualify for the grant, HDIF took part in AXEL’22, a four-month training program aimed at providing tools to social entrepreneurs in order to strengthen the processes of the organizations. Sessions on risk management, impact investment, quality control and assurance, among other subjects, were given to the entrepreneurs over the course of the program to address the challenges faced in the business world.

After successfully completing the program, HDIF, along with other social enterprises, was selected to receive a VIA Fund grant to further its progress as a social enterprise as well as expand its business, develop new products, and move into new markets.

HDIF will be using the loan for design, samples, and production of new products.  The grant portion will be used to get a customized CRM software and hire a marketing specialist.

The VIA Fund was developed as a part of the EU-funded, EVPA-led “Collaborate For Impact” project which aims to raise awareness about and develop social entrepreneurship and social investment in the Eastern Partnership countries.
